Low frequency inverter products

YIY's low frequency inverters start at 500W, with single-phase models up to 20KW and achieving over 88% efficiency. They convert 12V/24V/48V DC to 110V/220V or 120V/240V AC, with models over 3KW supporting split-phase output.

These inverters are called "low-frequency" because they use high-speed power transistors to convert DC to AC, with the transistors operating at the same frequency as the AC output (60 Hz or 50 Hz), which is much lower than the operating frequencies of high-frequency inverters, which can reach hundreds of thousands of hertz or higher.

Low frequency inverters use PWM technology to convert DC from batteries to AC, and then an internal transformer boosts it to 120/240VAC. An added benefit of low frequency inverters is their ability to filter out high frequency harmonics, making them ideal for power quality sensitive equipment.

Thanks to their built-in transformer, these inverters can handle 300% surge power for up to 20 seconds and can absorb surges caused by inductive loads such as motors and pumps. This makes low-frequency drives more reliable and more powerful than high-frequency drives.

Differences between low-frequency inverters and high-frequency inverters

1.The low-frequency inverter is a traditional analog circuit design that consist of a Thyristor (SCR) Rectifier, IGBT inverter, bypass and power frequency step-up isolation transformer. High-frequency inverters usually consist of IGBT high frequency Rectifier, battery converter, inverter and bypass.

2.The low-frequency inverter can boost the AC power to 220V, and the working frequency is 50Hz, which is the same as the mains frequency. The operation can more stable; while the working frequency of the high-frequency inverter is usually above 10kHz, which is much higher than the mains frequency.

3.Low-frequency inverters have more advantages in peak power capacity and reliability. It is more impact-resistant and suitable for powering heavy appliances such as refrigerators and air conditioners. The high-frequency inverter has a small size, low noise, and little impact on space and environment. It is suitable for office spaces with less demanding requirements.
